Sherri Murphy
Founder Green Lion Psychology
Choosing the right psychologist is a meaningful and personal decision.
I offer thoughtful, evidence-based support grounded in the latest research and attuned to your unique strengths, needs, and life story. My aim is to create a space where you feel respected, supported, and truly understood — a space where real transformation is possible.
I’ve worked across a variety of mental health settings, including non-government organisations (NGOs), remote community services, and private practice, gaining experience with diverse populations and presentations. I bring a strong clinical background in alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and have a particular interest in ADHD, while also working with a broad range of concerns.
Whether you're seeking clarity, practical coping tools, or deeper personal insight, I offer a holistic, client-centred approach informed by a range of evidence-based therapies. I work with both individuals and couples, and my practice is guided by compassion, curiosity, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity to grow — even from the most difficult of places.

Current Project
My Research
Unmasking Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD): Australian Women’s Experiences Through the Menopause TransitionAs part of my Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical), I am currently undertaking a qualitative research project exploring the lived experiences of women diagnosed with ADHD in midlife. This study aims to deepen understanding around late diagnosis, the impact of hormonal transitions, and how health systems can better support neurodivergent women.
Publications
