Individual & Couple Consultation

Standard Individual 50 minute session: $240

Standard Couples 50 minute consultation: $260 | 90 minute consultation: $290

A referral is not required to see a psychologist, but you may be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate.

Medicare Rebate

To access psychological services under Medicare, you must have a referral from a general practitioner (GP) under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). The current Registered Psychology rebate is $98.95.

Please note: There is no medicare rebate available for couples’ therapy.

Payment

For in-person appointments payment is required on the day of your session. Telehealth appointments require payment before your appointment. Payments can be made by EFTPOS and credit card.

Private Health Insurance

A partial rebate may be available through private health insurance. Please contact your insurance provider to discuss whether your policy has psychological counselling extras. Rebates through private health insurance are not available on consultations where a Medicare rebate is being claimed.

Cancellations

Green Lion Psychology has a 48-hour cancellation policy.

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. Late cancellations or missed appointments can make it difficult for others who are waiting for support to access care. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $100 fee.

  • If you do not attend your appointment without providing notice, the full session fee will apply.

  • Note: Considerations will be given for special circumstances.

Please note that Medicare and private health rebates do not apply to late cancellations or missed appointments.
